You may be a little surprised by Ashlyn's behaviors and thoughts, which are sometimes like this, and once they are like that. However, I wanted to describe a person whose trauma has already messed up so much that this person does not know what to think, how to think. In this book, Ash is a terribly lost character and I wanted to reproduce it as much as possible.

Footsteps are a near constant in the graveyard— each set have a certain rythm to them that Ashlyn has memorised... however, she picks up on ones she doesnt quite recognise that keep returning again and again, and after a particularly tense game of cat and mouse, Ashlyn tells Logan about the unknown person who seems to be watching them.
Is Logans past back to haunt him, or is there something else this person is after?
(This is basically a "what if the prospect of Ryan watching the kids was elaborated on more in canon" kinda fanfic. This is for the sbg secret santa!!!)
