The Little Gods is a mythopoeic, dark high-fantasy series inspired by the Middle East, North Africa, and Asia with a touch of the Mediterranean. It surrounds the Monkey, the Raven, the Snake, and the Scarecrow who discover the true history of, tell the truth of, and change the established status quo of their broken, feudal world. There is also a large musical influence in the series, namely the cultures of the three species, indrahtūn (industrial and industrial metal), fengme (folk metal), and faifethi (death and black metal). Overall, the stories in the series surround the Wasihl family of exiled and hunted royalty. The series is grimdark-adjacent but a dark fantasy at heart.

Series Order

0. Album Zero, the Monkey is the prequel story, setting up the series. It is told from the POV of Rakśal ("Rakshal"), the Monkey. Active online WIP.
1. Album One, the Raven is the first story. Active offline WIP.

Notes

1. This will be uploaded slowly. That's just how this is going to work.

4. The plan is for this series to be published one day, so the stories are all first drafts.
5. Original words in the series are intentionally spelled strangely. Rakshal's name is actually spelled Rakśal, and so forth.
   1. They have been "Romanized" throughout the series.
6. Chapter content is subject to change alongside the development of the series. Readers will be notified of such changes.
7. Asian fantasy x Bleach x Saiyuki x metalhead subculture x rivethead subculture is the best way to describe this series.
