Summary
You twist your fingers in your lap, and force yourself to look around you. You’ve been in his office a few times before, and as far as you can tell nothing has changed materially, aside from the addition of a few tour photos on the mantelpiece. Yet, the place feels bigger than it did – the dark wood panels seeming to stretch much further above your head, the painting of Lucifer looming over you. You look down again quickly. Papa Terzo drags another chair over, stokes the embers until the fire comes back to life, and then sits down, an arm’s distance away from you. He doesn’t look at you, instead staring into the fire thoughtfully. You bite your lip, feeling tears begin to prick your eyes again.

Agere-ish!Reader & Terzo, platonic relationship, hurt/comfort. Autistic reader (and autistic Terzo, because cityofmeliora’s post on the topic inspired me, though that’s not a direct part of the plot). I’m calling it “age regression” for the sake of tags but I have no idea if what the protagonist feels actually fits that definition properly. It’s just the closest label I can think of. The reader character is completely gender-neutral, and there is absolutely nothing romantic or sexual between Terzo and the protagonist.Series

Summary
“Cazzo! Scusa, caro…” Papa Terzo stands by the doorway, bare face turning pink. He’s dressed in his usual smart black clothes, except for his fluffy socks, and he’s holding a stack of papers. He puts them down on the desk quickly. “Heavy door, I don’t mean to slam it but if I’m not careful it just – anyway, I didn’t mean to wake you.”

(I'll give this a proper title eventually, sorry)A second part to Spillways. You do need to have read that one first.
