Summary
The Order of the White Lotus helped the Avatar stop the Hundred Year War, but as the decades wore on afterward, they began to lose their grip on why their organization was founded. They became soldiers, trained help to guard the Avatar throughout future incarnations, and that level of blasphemy hastened a mitosis that'd been in process for centuries.
Once an obscure shadow in the background of history, consistently bending the hands of fate to suit their ambitions, one night of over-confidence thrust them into the light and forced those left alive to bear witness of a new division.
Driven by individually-considered righteousness and a desire to watch the world burn, the Red Lotus became more than it was ever intended to be.
