Summary
DROP THE ACT is a post–Season 2 Episode 12 AU set after the body swap, where Alec’s trust in Magnus fractures at the exact moment Magnus himself is beginning to emotionally unravel.
After centuries of responsibility, war and politics, Magnus Bane is exhausted in a way most mortals cannot understand. Not angry. Not cruel. Simply tired. And for someone as powerful and ancient as Magnus, that terrifies the people who truly know him.
In the aftermath of New York, Alec, Jace and Isabelle are separated into hidden Shadowhunter institutions operating outside normal Clave ideology.
As the siblings slowly rebuild themselves away from New York, Alec starts realising he never truly understood Magnus at all.
