Summary
Tokoyami Fumikage wanted to become a hero to break free from the chains of his past. Dark Shadow just wanted to feel real again. Midoriya Izuku never stopped helping others, even when everyone around him – except for his dad – was shattering his dream into pieces.
Izuku was almost at the end of his rope. Training had turned into a boring routine. The only people who appreciated his analysis were at the new academy. Even All Might told him to be «realistic» – and that was when Izuku hadn't even going to ask him his question at first when they were alone on the roof. He'd become a hero and give hope to people like him – the abandoned and the desperate – even if he had to do it out of pure spite and principle.
Tokoyami felt abandoned not just by his family, but by his new class too. Even on his way to becoming a hero. How was he supposed to save anyone if he had a panic attack during the license exam? The only precious people in his life were himself, his «quirk», and his beloved aunt.
Luckily, their paths crossed when things hit rock bottom. They'd become heroes not just for themselves, but for each other. And, in the end, for the whole world.

Summary
This is a reimagination of the first story I wrote as a fanfic author. The story name is Azul...and let’s say that it’s quite a wild ride to read. It was written in the times when it almost took me three weeks to write a chapter, and my writing skills at that moment were quite low. I would like to think that I have improved enough from those days to do this story a better service, in case I decide to give it a new chance, as I did with two of my other first stories.
Just because I said this is a reimagination of said story doesn’t mean I will 100% recycle it and just use better grammar to make it more presentable. Mago Azul is a more... focused take on that story and the power that version of Izuku had, but instead of going crazy as I did in Azul, the rules of how this quirk works are more defined. And Izuku won't end up becoming a literal god of quirks as I did with the original story. Some important plot points and character developments in this story would happen in this world for those who had read the OG Azul, but this is a new, fresh start for that story.
I hope to make a better effort with this story than I did the first time I presented it. I hope that you enjoy your time reading it.

“You don’t say?” Katsuki couldn’t see the ghost, but he could see Izuku staring at a fixed spot as well and how the peeling wall paper started shuddering as the heavy feeling grew. “You’re the one who researched- how the fuck do we fight it?”
“I-”
The door slammed open again, blasting the ghost woman toward them. Izuku grabbed Katsuki’s arm in a tight grip, partly to make sure he stayed inside the salt circle and partly to keep himself from reeling back outside the circle himself.
Izuku hadn’t needed to know that her skin was more translucent than the bones he could see through it. Just as scary was the newest person to come to the party- a man in all black, whose equally dark hair whipped even more ferociously.
Through the ghost, Izuku saw the man’s eyes burn an even brighter, angrier red. Then he lost track of the plot what the ghost shrieked with a level of vitriol that had him doubled over in pain. When he could look up again, the ghost woman was gone.
The ghost man- now armed with a scythe- still remained.
