It's a new racing season and Katsuki's confident it will be a successful one. Kaminari's the second racer on his team, Aizawa's his coach, and he has a Piston Cup sitting on one of the shelves in Eijiro's room. As they move farther into the season, Kaminari proves to be less of a teammate and more of a rival, climbing up the charts with an inexperienced ease and a few flashy tricks. The media absolutely adores him, with his charming personality and lack of teeth Katsuki usually gives them. As the spotlight grows to include the two of them, Katsuki starts to worry: was recruiting Kaminari a good choice, or the biggest mistake of his life?
For Denki, the job proves to be harder than he'd thought. Not the actual racing part: he's good at that. But the other parts; the one's where Bakugo's concerned. Doubts creep in, both by him and his boyfriend, who worries the sports too dangerous and not a good use of his skills. Can he get through the season on Bakugo's team? J’avais flairé l’odeur rance de sa trahison bien avant qu’il ne la laisse en larmes. Elle a mis bien trop longtemps à découvrir qu’il montait une autre femelle. J’en ai encore les moustaches qui frémissent d’indignation.
Voir mon Humaine dépérir ainsi, le corps tout entier sentant le sel, est une insulte que je ne pardonnerai pas.
En revanche, le mâle d’à côté dégage une aura singulière. Malgré sa maladresse – il est loin de faire voltiger les objets avec autant de grâce que ma bipède – son territoire est sûr et son esprit me semble noble. Il n’a pas l’odeur de la fourberie.
Je lui ai fait don de ce lambeau en tissu vert, un vestige appartenant à mon Humaine. Et il l’a gardé, comme on protège un trésor. Je sens le poids qu’il porte sur ses épaules.
Il a besoin de l’apaisement que seule mon Humaine sait offrir. Et je sens qu’elle a besoin du sien.
Les Humains sont toujours affreusement lents, il leur faut bien l’instinct d’un Fléreur pour les guider.
Je vais quand même les laisser raconter leur histoire eux-mêmes. Les Humains sont susceptibles.
