Summary
It had been two years since Haechan’s aunt’s stupid magic pot had turned Renjun into a vampire by accident.
Two years since Renjun had gone from being a human with a sharp tongue and a stubborn sense of justice to one of the illegal species the world liked to pretend didn’t deserve to exist.
Two years since I had watched him try to understand a life he never asked for.
And five years since I had known him at all.
And I had never quite known what to do with the fact that I was secretly, selfishly relieved. I had wanted him near me for so long that the universe’s cruelty had felt, in one tiny corner of my heart, like a gift. A terrible, guilty gift.

Summary
Jaemin set his bag down and looked around.
Then he noticed the strawberries. They were everywhere.
Not literally everywhere, of course, but enough to make an impression. He noticed a tiny ceramic dish shaped like a berry sat near the sink, holding what looked like sugar packets. Even the tea towel had little embroidered strawberries on it.
Jaemin stared. Renjun, who had been watching him with mild curiosity, followed his gaze and said, “Ah.”
Jaemin turned slowly. “You like strawberries.”
Renjun looked almost offended by the understatement. “Like them?” He placed a hand over his chest, as if Jaemin had insulted a beloved family member. “I adore strawberries.”
Jaemin’s eyes widened. “You’re serious."
Renjun considered this. “If strawberries were a person, I would probably marry them.”
