The TV was the only thing making noise inside Spoke and Parrot's apartment before Wemmbu leaned over and took the remote from the coffee table, turning it off.
Silence engulfed the whole apartment. Parrot's head slowly turned towards Wemmbu, who was also looking at him with wide eyes and furrowed brows. "Bro. Why'd you turn it off?"
Wemmbu put the remote down. "Because it was freaky? It went LOS on us and showed that warning, bro."
"Wait that wasn't the movie?"

Title inspired by What If I Miss You for the Rest of My Life? by Janine Berdin
Spoke remembers someone who used to complain about the light pollution in the city because he couldn't see the stars at night, even when it was a moonless sky. He remembers the times they went stargazing while Parrot geeks about the constellations, pointing at each one while going on and on about it.
He remembers Parrot pointing at his favorite pair of stars that touch each other. He remembers Parrot saying "That's us." He remembers how Parrot looked at him that night - soft, gentle, filled with love for Spoke.
He puts the glass down, his gaze lowering as he refused to look at the sky any longer.
He chugs another glass.
