Summary
Everyone on their 20th birthday has a chance to hear their soulmates thoughts, but only if they are the younger of the two. If their soulmate is younger than them then they need to wait on their soulmates 20th birthday to hear anything.
Mike and Will have officially been together for a little over a year now and are both feeling sure that they are each other's soulmate. Will didn't hear anyone's thought on his 20th birthday almost 2 weeks ago, now that it's almost Mike's 20th they are hoping they will wake up hearing each other's thoughts.
El knows somewhat of soulmates. Max has talked with her about it and she knows that it's Mike. She knows that in a few days Mike will wake up and not hear any thoughts until her birthday on June 7th. They might have broken up before the final battle with Vecna and not gotten back together but Mike has been closer with her recently. Similar to how they used to be, so she just knows that in a few months on her birthday they will get back together.
What will everyone's reaction be when Mike wakes up on his birthday and hears his favorite persons voice right alongside his?

Summary
He's waving goodbye to his family and thinking about Jonathan's words. He's right, it's time for Will to live how he wants to. He will move on from Mike while he is here. It may take some time but it's something Will is going to work on if it means that Mike can become his best friend again.

"Will I don't want to be best friends again." Mike takes a step closer to Will. "I want to be more if you'll let me.Will looks up at him with tears just on the edge of his eyes. His hair is completely flatten in the rain but Mike thinks he looks absolutely beautiful. He just opens his mouth to speak everything he has been trying to say for the last almost 2 years since the end of the war.

Will confesses to Mike before he leaves for New York for college. Mike is too shocked to speak and sits there like an idiot. Mike has to chase Will to New York to tell him he feels the same.Series

Summary
By the time they are ready for bed, Will lies down and it's the first time since this morning that he thinks about the date. For the first time since he was taken in 1983, he hasn't spent the entire day of November 6th scared and reliving terrible memories. Instead he's realizing that he has felt the most safe he has in years, spending the whole day with the boy that he loves.
OR
It's almost November 6th and it's the first year that Will is away from family on the anniversary of everything that happened to him. Just because he's without his family in New York, that doesn't mean he is alone. Mike is right there to keep him safe and show him how loved he is.

"Look at him Max." And they both look over to Will, who is resting his head against Carlton's shoulder, holding his hand in his lap, and looking up at him smiling while he's talking to Lucas. "I haven't seen him smile like that in years and ever since he's starting going out with him that smile hasn't left his face. He's happy and after everything he has been through I can't be the one to ruin that for him. I can't hurt him again, I can't loose him again."
"Oh Mike."
"It's best if I just let him go. I can stay in his life as his best friend and that is what's important to me. As long as Will is happy, I can try to be happy, even if it hurts to see him with someone when I know I can treat him better."
OR
It takes Mike moving to New York with Will and Will going on a date for him to realize that he's in love with him. It also hits him that he is too late. What else is to do besides sit back and let Will finally be happy.
OR
Mike gets the Will Byers treatment and has to watch his best friend date someone else while being in love with him and ends up helping their relationship grow stronger.
