Summary
Staying with Leon for a bit has Grace worrying about his safety more and more. Each night when he's away on a mission, she turns on the porch light so he knows that she and Emily are waiting for him when he gets back.
One particularly long mission has Grace on edge. When Leon stumbles back into his house, bruised and bloodied, Grace can't help but take care of him. It feels like the most natural thing in the world.
It feels so right, it might just be enough for Leon to convince Grace and Emily to stay.

Summary
Grace was skipping family dinner this week. That's fine with Leon. She can have friends. She should go out with her friends from college. Why does it hurt when she isn't sitting with them at the table that night?
Laying drunk on the floor of Leon's guest room leaves Grace's lips far looser than normal. What was that old saying again?
Drunk words are sober thoughts.
-OR-
Grace's college friends ask her to go out with them when they're in town. Following a run-in with an old fling, Leon picks her up from the club. The words spilling from Grace's lips are far too sweet and need revisiting once she's sober.

Summary
They were a perfect pair on paper. Two very high profile government employees would make the perfect power couple in theory. Leon Kennedy was the DSO’s most prized possession and lethal asset. Grace Ashcroft had clawed her way up the FBI’s chain of command, making her the most in-demand intelligence analyst, not to mention her philanthropic nature put her in great favor with the public eye.
Sure, while he was 48 and she was 26 there was the underlying age gap, but it wasn’t necessarily egregious, especially in terms of government employees who had proclivities for affairs with much more significant age gaps.
The issue was this: neither of them were particularly pleased with this arrangement, choosing instead to live their lives separately under the same roof. Learning to coexist is an exercise that neither of them are prepared for. But when Grace flees the city upon receiving news of her daughter going missing, the two end up closer than they could’ve imagined.
