Summary
It began – like many things in Mike Hanlon’s life began – in the library.
After he and his friends defeat the evil lurking underground, Mike Hanlon stays in Derry, Maine. Derry is his home, and he doesn't want to forget. He expects a lonely existence. He expects his friends to forget and move on. He does not expect Bill Denbrough to come back for him, but Bill does, and everything starts to change.

Summary
In the years before they killed Pennywise, in the long epic of waiting that had been Mike Hanlon’s life, he had thought that after the monster’s death, everything would be easy. He had already done the hardest things, made the most difficult decisions. And in a way that had come true; things had settled simply and amazingly. Bill had come back for him, and they had built a home together. But it also turned out that the sky didn't fall and the Heavens didn't start singing his praises. His life now was not so deeply different from his life in those interminable years.
For Mike, part of staying behind in Derry was alternating between clinging to and doubting his childhood faith convictions. Now, after the devil has been spurned and he is miraculously still alive, he's got to learn to live with it – with all of it.
