Summary
Lou had been fighting for so, so long. Though he'd never admit it, he might actually be getting tired of fighting — but he'd come too far already. He'd committed to this, years ago, when the fire in his heart had still been burning as bright as a star. It still was, just not in the same way it had before. He wasn't quite sure how to describe it — regardless, the finish line was right there. He just needed to cross it, and it would all be over. Everything would be fixed.
And just when he thought he'd finally gotten a second chance, something unexpected happened. The consequences were too much for him to bear.
