Notes:

This was written for the prompt of: Write a story, and then write the same story but change the setting.

Both are written with the same extended metaphors

It Must Have Been the Wind (Tell Me I'm Wrong)

Part One: Canon typical setting. Liam does his regular Lord of Crime business with his canon-typical "I don't deserve to live" attidute. The wind in this story is outsiders telling Liam that does deserve to live. The fortress is his belief system. The Moriarty Plan is his biggest and top priority.

Written in July 2024 and has not been edited since

It Must Have Been the Wind (Tell Me I'm Right)

Part Two: Modern Day America. Sherlock is an FBI agent. Liam is someone who exposes corrupt politicians on social media. The fortress here is Liam believing that he's doing something good, that causing public upheaval and destruction are just collateral to knowing the truth. The wind is the actual truth, that what he's doing is hurting his country rather than saving it.

Written in July 2024, stayed in docs because I hated it, and was then edited thoroughly in July 2026.

Writing style and quality between the two may vary because two years have passed.
