Summary
“Are you sure?” The silky tone of Rozanov’s voice does nothing to hide the disdain dripping from it. “You have kept me waiting already. You will do the same to Sébastien?” The pronunciation is poisonous enough to make Shane flinch. “You might lose your reputation as Canadian golden boy.”
Bile and rage swirl deep in Shane’s gut. Where the fuck does Rozanov get off acting like he’s somehow been wronged here when he’s out getting his dick wet with half the Eastern Seaboard? “That’s not your problem.” He wraps his legs around Rozanov again and pulls him in tightly, letting his phone clatter to the counter. “You gonna worry about my good name or are you gonna fuck me?”
___________Shane wants what he can't have. He almost says so.

Summary
He attempts to sound calm. “Is that your phone?”
“Yeah. I better check.” Hollander is frowning and already pulling away. He sounds distracted. Ilya feels a sense of foreboding. “I don’t usually get messages at this hour so it might be an emergency.”
Ilya does not know if it is an emergency or not. The immediate squeezing sensation in his chest at the screen saying there is one new message from Sébastien certainly feels like a cardiac event. The notification would be easy enough to brush off, but the way Hollander has gone stock-still under his hands sends a creeping cold up his spine that crystallizes into a vision of the blank spaces in Hollander’s night before now. Maybe many other nights before now.
There is a dull throb behind his eyes. “Do you need to answer that?”
_________
Sequel to "hunger hurts but starving works" from Ilya's POV. Can be read as a standalone.
