Summary
“Let’s dial things up now,” Hotch’s smile was small, barely there, but it reached his eyes. “Tomorrow evening, at the precinct, I’m not going to bother sitting on the opposite side of the table during the briefing.”
Reid felt a flush creep up his neck, a thrill that had nothing to do with the case and everything to do with the man holding him. “The team is going to be incredibly confused,” he noted, though he was already leaning into Hotch’s touch.
“Let them be,” Hotch murmured, pulling Reid just a bit closer until space between them was non-existent. “It’s about time they start paying attention.”
----
or, Aaron and Spencer are tired of hiding their relationship, so they slowly stop hiding until everyone on the team can piece together the truth.

Summary
Spencer leaned his forehead against Aaron’s shoulder, a breathless laugh escaping him. “God, you’re insufferable.”
“And you,” Aaron countered, pulling back just enough to look at him with a gaze that made Spencer feel entirely seen, “Are going to be the death of me.”
They stood there for a beat longer than necessary, the domestic bliss of a Thursday night in a quiet house settling over them like a blanket. It was a fleeting, perfect moment of ‘us,’ and as Spencer turned back to the cutting board, the ring on his finger - the fake one, the prop, the shield - felt less like a piece of jewelry and more like a promise he wasn’t entirely sure he wanted to break.
----
or, Spencer and Aaron go undercover as an engaged couple with Jack as their son. They wiggle their way into the unsubs weekly community picnics to stage a takedown. But the close proximity reminds Spencer and Aaron of their feelings together, and pretending to be a couple allows them to cross lines.

Summary
Aaron felt the heat of pure, cold indignation simmering beneath his skin. It was deliberate. The man was baiting him, looking for the flash of protective anger, the moment where the Unit Chief would break character and show the lover beneath.
“Dr. Reid is one of the most thorough and articulate agents in this building,” Aaron said, his voice quiet, steady, and utterly devoid of anything other than calm professionalism. “His work requires no editing. It requires only an appreciation for the nuance he provides. If you find his reports ‘verbose,’ perhaps it is a limitation of the reader, not the writer.”
...
Aaron watched him, his gaze heavy and unyielding. He didn’t rise to the jab. He didn’t shift his posture. He remained a statue of bureaucratic compliance, even as every fiber of his being wanted to reach across the desk and force the man to acknowledge the title he was so pointedly omitting.
----
or, The Team heads to LA to solve a case while Aaron stays behind to sit through grueling HR meetings to legitimize his and Spencer's relationship. Then Spencer goes through his own meetings in chapter 2.

Summary
Spencer let out a sharp, jagged breath, his head falling onto Aaron’s shoulder. He felt the heat radiating off Aaron’s chest - the glitter transferring as they shifted - and he ground his hips down, a deliberate provocation that made Aaron tighten his grip. They were dancing, yes, but it was entirely too sensual for just friends - just colleagues.
They were performing, playing the roles of a couple so consumed by each other they had forgotten the world existed for a moment, but the line between the performance and the reality was blurring until it was non-existent. They were using the dance to anchor themselves, to lose themselves in the sheer, undeniable reality of their physical need to be close.
----
There's an unsub hunting forty-to-fifty year old males who have dark hair and younger male partners. Spencer and Aaron are the PERFECT two people to go undercover to catch this guy. But their relationship is a lot more complicated than just colleagues. Just friends. But perhaps dirty dancing was all they needed to confront their feelings.

Summary
“Baby,” Aaron murmured, his voice slurring heavily, his eyelids drooping as the anesthesia began to drag him back under. A small, contented sigh escaped him, and he tilted his head toward Spencer, nuzzling into the hand he was holding. “Thought… thought they took you… too.”
The silence that descended upon the room was absolute.
The team stood frozen, their expressions a mixture of shock, confusion, and dawning realization. (...)
Spencer didn’t move. He didn’t pull his hand away, nor did he offer any explanation. He simply leaned forward, his face pale and unreadable, and let his fingers interlace with Aaron’s.
“I’m here,” Spencer said, his voice quiet but steady, cutting through the thick, suffocating silence of the room. “I’m not going anywhere. Go back to sleep, Aaron.”
-----
Spencer and Aaron are in a secret relationship and plan to tell the team the good new of their engagement. But plans change when Aaron is stabbed on a case and outs the relationship while under the effects of pain medicine.
