Kaylee splashed water onto his arms and laughed again. “What? Are you in love with me or something?”
And what could he really say to that? Not no, because after all of this time, he didn't think that was quite the right answer; not yes, because even though he knew it was true… He focused on the task in front of him, dunking the plate under the water and trying to swallow up the little droplets from her attack in the process, like maybe washing them away would dissolve the question and they could stay in this peaceful, happy moment.
Aaron and Kaylee do the dishes. Aaron thinks maybe they could do the dishes together forever.
