Kaylee tilted her head to the side, then held out the book, which, admittedly, did have a picture of a rather rotted-looking monster on the front. "Frankenstein? Pew pew, lightning bolts, 'It's alive!'?"
Kaylee and Lani discover a book they both know.

And he longed to paint again. Many things, really, but there was one thing in particular he wanted: to paint Sky, to eternally capture her studying something, the concentration on her face, her arms lifted and her hair between her fingers as she tied it back.
Alex wants to paint Sky.

Summary
“I don’t know,” he said. “I like it more here, too, than I did in Quill. For me, I think it's because of you. It’s calming, when you're with me, and you’re funny, and there’s no one else in the world I would rather do it with.”
Kaylee splashed water onto his arms and laughed again. “What? Are you in love with me or something?”
And what could he really say to that? Not no, because after all of this time, he didn't think that was quite the right answer; not yes, because even though he knew it was true… He focused on the task in front of him, dunking the plate under the water and trying to swallow up the little droplets from her attack in the process, like maybe washing them away would dissolve the question and they could stay in this peaceful, happy moment.
Aaron and Kaylee do the dishes. Aaron thinks maybe they could do the dishes together forever.

Summary
A cadaver lies on a cold metal table, rust creeping in at the edges, a reminder of where she came from, of where she can never fully leave, of where she returned, at first against her will, and then to live out the rest of her days.
The thrum of blood through her veins has long since ceased, the beat once unconfined by time signatures now silenced. Once regular, now nonexistent, a mundane occurrence, really. This was inevitable. Her fate remained unchanged.
Beside the body lay pieces of the girl's life, or perhaps crime scene evidence. They are impeccably kept, though, no splattering of DNA across them, no suspects to be found. Perhaps that means she did it to herself, her fault, as things often were. That, or the criminal runs free, and justice will not be served. How sad. Nothing to be done either way.
A dissection of a non-practicing dead girl.
