Harumasa had made a clear request to not be treated or viewed any differently by the other members of Section 6 because of his illness. And all three of them had easily agreed to it. He had been dealing with it by himself and had been able to prove his own strength and showed off his ability to do his job. There was no reason for them to start doubting him.
In fact if you were to ask them who had changed the most out of Section 6 after Harumasa’s request all of the female members would likely say Harumasa, while the man himself would likely just laugh and divert the conversation somewhere else.

Summary
The first promise he had made himself was to not get too close to other people. His second promise also stemmed from his childhood in the hospital. To not let anyone know that he suffers from Ether Aptitude Regression Syndrome. Looking back it was easy for him to figure out what made him break these promises.
Miyabi was kind, she never forced them to do anything and she listened when they had something to say. Yanagi was smart, so he felt the most nervous around her. Then there was Soukaku, even though she joined after the initial creation of Section 6 she was still an indispensable member.
These were his friends. They deserved to know.

Harumasa was a puzzle that Yanagi hadn't intended on trying to solve. Yet small things over their time in Section Six meant that when she was given the one important piece she had been missing it all clicked into place.
Although Yanagi had given up on worrying about the quality of Harumasa’s reports, it didn’t mean that she was willing to feel the constant stress of not seeing them completed until hours before the deadline.
