If pressed, Jongho would choose the skatepark as his favorite place. Not just in Namhae, but in the world.
To most people, it's nothing special at best and an eyesore at worst, a collection of concrete ramps and metal rails that have been decorated with colorful swirls of spray paint and pastel sidewalk chalk that runs together into a milky river whenever it rains.
But to Jongho, the skatepark is as precious as a gleaming pearl from the depths of the ocean - not so much because of the park itself, but because of the seven people he met there. Seven people who took him in with open arms when he was still so full of longing for the familiarity of the city that it threatened to consume him like a virus. Seven people who were already intricately knotted together and yet found space for him in their tapestry.
Seven people who became his best friends and, in one particular case, the love of his life.
