Mysterion stalked closer to him.
“The system may help you now, but the moment it’s inconvenient or their goals don’t align with yours they’ll drop you like they did me.”
They stood a few feet apart now, tension clouded between them, of what kind, it was hard to describe.“The Freedom Pals failed you too. Why join them?”

Mysterion caved.
“Fine, I don't like him. Sue me”
“I don’t see how. He’s actually a lot like you.”
The corrupted knight turned away at that. Now that Chaos couldn’t see his face he was more impossible to read than a wall of stone.
Finally, he said, “Ever think that’s why I don’t like him?”
Pale eyes turned back to him. He couldn’t see his pupils behind the Mysterion mask but he felt heavily surveyed.
“You don’t like Kenny because you don’t like yourself?” He asked slowly.
Another smirk left him, but this was harder to handle. Some other emotion was tangled in it that Chaos couldn’t decipher, possibly humor?
“I guess you could say that. Yeah.”
