Summary
This is not a deformity she was born with, not some illness triggered by her genes, not a disability. She was like a dinky car on a plastic track, flicked off by a child's finger. Like a bubble from a wand that was poked by a stick before it could rise above the trees. Like a train heading for a wye in the tracks, only someone pulled the wrong lever and she derailed.
