Description:

Premise: The last of the Bakugo clan, Katsuki is a lone alpha hunter in the northern mountains. When a strange, non-presenting, green haired male from the southern grasslands arrives to hunt in Katsuki’s mountains, the ancestral spirits will weave their lives together in ways he never could have anticipated.

Notes:

So this series started when I had a crazy idea/daydream which resulted in my work Theirs, but I kept thinking about a line I wrote in there that mentioned the “few objectively perfect moments in Katsuki’s life” and in classic writer fashion, I just . . . kept writing more . . .

Since I’m trying to craft an original mythological system for this au, there’s probably lots of similarities to real-world indigenous symbolism and spiritual practices. I’m mostly trying to create something new so if I somehow manage to appropriate something, please leave a comment/message me so I can fix it. This is also my first time ever writing omegaverse so I’m kinda just . . . writing what I think sounds hot and romantic lol, sorry if it’s not what you’re used to or what is “canon” in omegaverse rules or whatever

These works are centered on exploring bakudeku as loners who find each other, so other bnha characters don’t really show up. Inko and the Bakugos are mentioned and allusions are made to other bnha adult characters (the shaman is very Toshinori-coded, the midwife could be Chiyo or another doctor from the series, Aizawa and Mirko are also a cameo), but I guess I didn’t feel like the story(s) had room to explore the rest of class 1-A because I’m too married to exploring a world where my boys fall in love and live (mostly) alone in the wilderness.

Works are listed in the order they were written (since Theirs is the first work, it sets up the world and helps the other works read as extended flashbacks), but the chronological timeline goes Moonlight, Marks, Ritual, Theirs, and Future. Read as you see fit!

I’ll be trying to embed my original concept art for this series in each work, but since I’m still figuring that out, it’ll also be up on my tumblr @gawdsfavoritepunchingbag
