His tears were streaming down his cheeks as he buried his flushed face into his now-soaked hands. His baby-pink notebook rested beside him, its pages filled to the brim with notes about their situation, yet none of it made sense anymore.
“The intense amount of Cupid-Training I was given while growing up never prepared me for these two,” Deny sobbed, treating his hands like makeshift tissues.
How could two university students mess up a Cupid that badly? Deny didn't think the situation deserved his tears, but they came anyway.
But how did he end up here, crying into his palms? After all, it was supposed to be a mission to claim his territory, to prove himself not only to the Head-Cupid, but to everyone who dared to doubt him. He spent years waiting for his dream to become a reality, and now that he gets to experience it, he wishes to have it easier.
It seemed simple enough: make two university students fall in love. A stereotypical case about enemies-to-lovers, right? It was one of the most common cases for a Cupid to be assigned.
Who knew that meeting Classy and Froste wasn't as simple as Deny thought.
