“You’re like a dog.” Coy commented, whispering playful to Anthony, and when Hanbon and Will look over at him, he defends the comment. “Look! He’s all curled up in my lap like a puppy.”
The other two were sitting on the floor below them. They had been doing each other’s hair, at some point, but by the time Hanbon ends up with pigtails, they are mostly cuddling and chatting away about nothing particularly important.
Anthony was vaguely aware of the fact that they were holding hands, and part of him wishes he were down there with them but being with Coy is nice, too.
Anthony is overwhelmed by that warm feeling, then, as he scrambled up and away from his friend. He’s blushing and he knows it as he tries to play off his reaction, “If you’re going to be weird, we don’t get to cuddle.”
“Aw, you’re blushing.” Coy called him out, shifting forward on the couch. He play-pouts, “Poor puppy.”
Or,
Anthony makes some self-discoveries with the help of his friends. Or more-than-friends. He wasn't sure about that.

“We’re going to make you eat with your hands if you keep chewing on forks.” Coy snatched the fork Anthony had stuck halfway into his mouth at dinner later that night, tone scolding. “That’s like, the fourth time. You’re going to hurt your teeth, baby.”
He sunk into his chair, whining, “I don’t mean to chew on things. I don’t think about it.”
“Well, that’s because you’re a silly puppy that doesn’t think about much at all.” Coy told him. Anthony crossed his arms, voice grumbly as he replied,
“I’m not silly.”
“Is that talking back I’m hearing?” Coy challenged, and Anthony huffed but dropped his voice into something polite,
“No, sir.” He’s only a bit sarcastic in his tone, but Coy decides not to comment on it.
“I know you’re joking by calling me ‘sir’ but you should be careful, because I like it.” Coy told him, “I might have you do that more often.”

Anthony is the house puppy, now, and it doesn't come as easily as he expected it to.
