For Raven Queen’s sixth birthday, she had been proclaimed a Big Girl now. Mother had insisted. She claimed it would be good for her: it would teach Raven independence, pride and grant her a little more freedom necessary for fostering sparks of mischief. Sparks of mischief that would one day, of course, rage into an inferno of Evil. Mother said it was the best gift she could have given her.
Father had gotten her a puppy.

Summary
Raven hardly liked to spend time by the Enchanted Lake at the edge of the forest, but for some spell-forsaken reason when the portal that left her before Ever After High chewed her up and spat her out, her legs took her in the opposite direction of the grand building. Her luggage she left where it was — somebody or something would come to clear it later, like they always did, and she hardly cared for receipt of her class schedule.
After all, it wasn't like they'd suddenly decide to swap out Advanced Spells and Hexes for Muse-ic Class. Daddy had assured her that if she just asked nicely then he was certain Milton Grimm would be more than happy to swap out one of her courses for Muse-ic.
Raven may love her daddy, but she often found it hard to believe him.
