Stephanie Brown disappears for three months. No warning. No note. Just gone, literally the kind of gone that makes Bruce start running facial recognition algorithms across four continents and Cass stop speaking entirely.
When she finally comes back, she doesn't walk through the door. She falls through it, flatlines into Cassandra's arms, and raises a shaking thumbs up.
"Yes, I'm alive. Yes, I'm 𝘯𝘰𝘵 okay. And yes—" she coughs, pink light flickering around her fingers, "—it's a 𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘭𝘭𝘺 long story."
The Batfamily learns three things very quickly:
1. Stephanie is now a Star Sapphire.
2. She did not choose this.
3. She spent three months terrorising the Lantern Corps out of 𝘴𝘱𝘪𝘵𝘦 because the ring wouldn't come off.Cassandra has opinions about the outfit. 𝘚𝘵𝘳𝘰𝘯𝘨 opinions. Stephanie is not emotionally prepared for any of this.
