Summary
When Shane and Ilya met as children, they instantly became friends. Shane couldn't ever imagine not having his best friend in his life, except now he can, because years ago Ilya has blocked him and they haven't talked since. Still not having any explanation for how they went from being so close to this, Shane tries to get on with his life. Everything comes crumbling down when he suddenly gets a message from Rozanov. Where Shane didn't expect to ever speak to Ilya again, he definitely didn't expect the first message in years to be an invite to his birthday party. Surely actually showing up is a dumb idea?
