This is just pathetic, Oona thinks, and pulls out her phone. She searches for Ramona’s contact clumsily, blinking away from the too-bright screen.
She clicks on Ramona's profile picture, or at least tries to, because her thumb slips. It takes her drunken brain one entire ring to realize her error. She sits up straight, panicking, but Ramona picks up on the second dial, like she’d been waiting for Oona to call.
Or, the one where Oona accidently drunk calls Ramona.

It’ll be different this time, she tells herself when Oona pushes her up against the wall of the cottage. It’ll be different this time, when she’s three fingers deep inside of Oona. It’ll be different this time, when Oona pulls her close at night and fits their bodies together just right.
Or, Ramona really, really, needs Oona to come back to New York with her.
