“I’ve decided to apply to UM,” Gally said casually, as if they’d discussed it countless times, which was true, but Minho didn’t want to admit to himself that UM was his least favorite choice out of the three universities. It was too far away, several states away, which meant they’d only be able to see each other at most twice a year. He’d be lying if he said he didn’t instinctively feel that Gally would choose that one university. As if on purpose.
“They’re giving me a full scholarship, and it’s one of the best universities in my field. It would be foolish to pass up an opportunity like this,” Gally continued, as if trying to justify his choice to him. As if Minho might not support him and turn away.

Summary
The professor was passionately talking about something Minho wasn’t listening to at all. Instead, he was slowly rolling a pen between his fingers and, for the hundredth time, staring blankly around the lecture hall. The professor’s words went in one ear and out the other, and his thoughts were somewhere else. Suddenly, his smartphone screen flickered, silently signaling a new message. Minho immediately looked down. Seeing a familiar name on the display, he instantly set the pen aside and tapped the notification icon.
It was Gally. He’d sent a picture of himself sitting at a table at an outdoor café, surrounded by his new college friends. Gally was smiling gently at the camera, and behind him, Minho immediately recognized Brenda and Frypan. The Asian guy began to look closely at the photo, noticing every little detail. Even though it was pretty cold, they’d decided to eat outdoors and were wrapped up in warm jackets. Minho also noticed that Gally’s hair had grown out a bit, and his face seemed to have matured in that short time.

Summary
Minho just couldn’t fall asleep. He stared at the wall in front of him, at the fluorescent stars, which on winter nights no longer glowed as brightly as they had in the summer. Inside him, a wild mix of excitement and anticipation was building for Gally’s arrival tomorrow. Or rather, today: the numbers on his phone screen showed it was already past two in the morning. He desperately needed to get some sleep, but the endless cycle of thoughts and anxiety was completely robbing him of that chance. How would he react when he finally saw Gally? How would Gally react to him? What would they even talk about, and wouldn’t there be a heavy, suffocating awkwardness hanging between them? However, how could he possibly feel awkward around Gally?
Galli finally arrives for the Christmas holidays and revelations happen.
