Zanka never got rid of his addiction to that shit in Jabber’s claws. When Team Akuta gets back from Penta half-alive and is sucked into one of Cthoni’s portals, all Zanka can worry about is how much worse the crash will be if he can’t get high off Jabber anymore. Or at least, that’s his easiest excuse to himself. Inside the belly of a massive trash beast, he has to make the choice whether or not to listen to Jabber.
He chooses to turn back around.
