Summary
“Mornin’, Reed. I take it Jeff broke the news already?” Anderson has a glint in his eye as his lips quirk into a smile. His expression is unreadable to Gavin, who has no idea why any of them would be remotely happy with this situation.
“Here, have a read over this while I go fix my coffee.” Anderson pushes away from his desk and points at Gavin to sit. Gavin does so slowly, uncertain about the entire situation.
“Someone -” a pointed stare at Connor, “didn’t put enough fuckin’ sugar in it, so it tastes like shit.” Connor doesn’t even look up from his screen, a bored expression on his face and a voice so deadpan that for a moment Gavin doesn’t know if he’s being humorous or insulting to Anderson.
“Well, if someone wasn’t such an ass in the morning, I might be inclined to be nicer when making their coffee,” Anderson mutters something under his breath as he stalks away, and Gavin awkwardly nods before opening the case files.
OR
Gavin, Connor and Hank team up (against their will) to solve a murder. Along the way, Gavin and Connor find themselves caring more about each other than they wanted. Hank is really just trying to keep everyone alive, goddammit.
