"Finished already?" Ilya asks, smirking. His own stack of plates is only three high, and none of them were nearly as loaded as the ones he's been bringing for Shane. Shane tries to glare at him, but he's so full that he feels a little dazed from it and he knows it's showing on his face. It ends up being more of a weak frown than a glare.
"I had six plates," Shane protests. "What d'ya mean 'already'?"

Summary
“My beautiful husband, I am home!” Ilya calls out dramatically.
“In the lounge,” Shane calls back. He looks at the empty candy bucket full of nothing but wrappers and instinctively considers hiding it, but Ilya knows him too well. Plus, his swollen belly and the almost-empty pie tin are dead giveaways.
“My sweet Shane, how was-”
Ilya’s words stop dead as he sees Shane with a forkful of pie raised halfway to his mouth. Shane feels his cheeks begin to turn pink.
“I see you’ve been busy,” says Ilya. Shane shrugs and nods.
“You could say that,” Shane mumbles vaguely through a thick mouthful of pie, still chewing.
Ilya looks around, spotting the beer bottle and the empty candy bucket.
“Did we get a lot of trick or treaters?” he asks.
Shane goes from pink to scarlet.
“Um. No,” he admits.or;
