Her frown deepened. “I merely do not understand why you have changed so abruptly. It is unnatural.”
She knew, watching him contemplate how to respond, that he could see right through her. That he’d identified a crucial piece of information she kept so carefully hidden. It was dangerous. Unacceptable. And yet, likely too late to backtrack. She wondered if Elain had spoken to him.
“I think we got off on the wrong foot,” he said. “If we’re going to be in each other’s company, I think we should start over.”

Summary
Flying out at 7 am for a last minute work trip was already bad.
Flying out of Dulles was worse.
But to top it all off, Nesta's morning is entirely upended when the world's most obnoxious (read: gorgeous) pilot spills boiling hot coffee all over in what had to be the worst luck of all time.
Nesta was determined to forget it ever happened, to get through her week and back to her apartment where she could continue to hide away forever. But fate has other plans.
