Summary
The printer buzzes back to life. The doctor whips around at the sudden noise, staring at the machine as it spits out a second sheet of paper. They gingerly scoop it into their hands and place it on top of the other piece. It’s a continuation of the first! Feeling rejuvenated, they carefully process each word.
“Wait a minute…” They separate the two pieces of paper, looking back and forth between them. Dread harpoons itself through their chest as the realization comes over them.
