Summary
Jay’s gaze falls back to the photograph on the mantel, the one of him and Evan lost in the moment, lost in the music. Lost in each other’s eyes, more than anything. Facing one another, sights secured on each other. The tension between them is like a string; a thin line that connects them, and Jay wonders what that string might look like now; if it’s even still in one piece, if it’s worn and weathered. Maybe it’s frayed at the edges, hanging on by a single thread, stretched with time and distance. Or maybe, it’s still there, invisible but intact, waiting for one of them to pull.
Wherein Jay and Evan are ex-bandmates; only until Evan, for some unknown reason, asks Jay to help with his second solo album, and hell breaks loose. Again.

Summary
"You don't have to forget this," Evan whispered as he leaned down into Jay's ear. The singer started kissing Jay's cheek softly, then his jawline, then he sucked and bit down on Jay's ear. "We won't talk about it," Evan added. He kissed Jay's neck between each sentence he spoke, lips pressing against Jay's soft skin. "But if you want to write a song about it, you have my permission. I'll sing the words you feel for me, Jay, then no one will ever know."
Sometimes, they say things burn twice as bright, but are half as strong. And maybe Red Horizon exemplified that perfectly. What starts as an innocent attempt at rock stardom turns into something so much more, especially between the charismatic lead singer, Evan Lee, and their brooding guitarist, Jay Park. But as the band grows, fame might be the very thing that burns them both alive.
