"Wiley fought the urge to plug his ears and scoffed quietly as he passed them. Of course they were talking about him. For the past month since the new semester started, he hadn’t been through a single hour without hearing that god forsaken name. He was the university’s new hotshot, the star runner on the track team. Apparently he was very good looking."

Wiley was annoyed by all the attention the track meets at his college have been getting since the new popular kid, Rhodey Roberts, joined. It's all anybody has been talking about. He found running to be a monumental waste of time. That is, until he went to a meet and saw Rhodey for the first time. Suddenly, he was very interested in track, and the blue haired athlete was all he could think about.

For the following month of the summer semester, Rhodey found himself constantly visiting the library. For no particular reason, of course.
Sometimes the man would be there, sometimes he wouldn’t. Rhodey told himself that he didn’t care, but still would jog all over campus to find him. Most of the time he was in the library. Now and then, he’d be in the food court. Occasionally, the engineering wing.OR

Summary
Rhodey had finally gotten Wiley's dark, focused eyes to look at him. He was relishing in the attention, until out of seemingly nowhere, Wiley withdrew, pushing him away. Suddenly, Rhodey was left confused and hurt. How could he fix things with the man he had wanted for so long when he didn't even know what he had done wrong?

Wiley is ignoring Rhodey for no apparent reason. Rhodey will stop at nothing to figure out why.
