Lance headphones break during a training fight and Pidge says it'll take a week for her to fix them
Lance has never gone this long without being able to hear since he lost his hearing to begin with. Keith isn't the best at dealing with emotions and helping others out but he decides to at least give it a shot this time. He just wants to help his weapon to feel better. That's what meisters are supposed to do right?

Lance McClain is one the most powerful weapon known. However, he lost his meister over a year ago and since then no other meister has wanted to partner up with him because of how loud and annoying he can be. When he is attacked in an alleyway on his way home from school one day he meets a meister named Keith Kogane. Needless to say it's hate at first sight, but Lance is desperate for a miester so he takes what he can get.
As time goes on and Lance and Keith get closer Lance realizes that maybe he doesn’t hate his new meister as much as he thought he did. Maybe.

The sword retracted and he was pushed to the ground, hard, scraping his cheek against the concrete of the bridge he was on. Snow was everywhere and his blood was starting to seep into it and turning it red. Yeah, Lance was pretty sure this wasn’t good."
Lance should have noticed, he was stupid for not noticing. Now he had to pay the consequences and all he wanted was for Kieth to come back.
