You’ve grown to know her over the last few months, and now, you’ve earned laughs and smiles from this person who once made you stand up straighter subconsciously every time she passed you by. Tonight, her expression softens, and there’s immediately a somber, melancholic look in her eyes.
“I met Abbot my first week here,” Dana explains. “He was an intern, and I was a lost, newly graduated idiot who didn’t know right from left. I’ve known Abbot for a long time, and when I met him, he had just gotten married. He was so in love.”
