Summary
At Dave’s approach, the shadow pushed off the wall and stepped into the early morning light. Dave’s entire body seized.
He looked sharper than the last time they met. All angles in the slope of his shoulders and the cut of his jaw where before he was softer with youth. They’d been teenagers back then, barely on the cusp of adulthood. But still, there was the same honey coloured hair, the slightly crooked nose, deep-set blue eyes like a pair of whirlpools.
Thirteen years felt like a blip and a lifetime all in one.
“What are you—?”
Came to see you, Casey signed.

Summary
Dave never pushed, never questioned Casey on what he wanted or, in this case, didn’t want. It had taken a lot of conversations to find a middle ground they both were happy with, but it had been well worth it.
Keeping his dirty hand to the side, Casey simply brought Dave into another embrace, holding him close enough to nearly squeeze the air right out of his lungs. Dave went willingly, smile tucked into Casey’s shoulder.
It was more than Casey deserved, but then again, Dave was always encouraging him to be a little more selfish.
This. I want this he thought, prayed, as they held onto one another for a long, long time.
