Hey everyone! I’ve been writing City Hunter fanfic here in Italy since 2005 (check out my profile!). I’m testing the waters and trying to translate one of my stories into American English with a little help from AI. Honestly, I’m not sure if it’s gonna hit the same emotional notes as the original, but hey, I'm giving it a shot!
April 1988. Ryo and Kaori have been partners for three years now, ever since Hideyuki’s passing. A brand-new syndicate called Azan has been flooding Shinjuku with drugs, all while Ryo and Kaori’s lives and feelings get tangled up. Heading this organization is Patrick Darcy (an OC), a billionaire pharmaceutical tycoon who owns Asan Chemical Industry. Behind closed doors, his labs aren't just making medicine—they're churning out synthetic drugs. The case lands on our duo's lap when Rumiko Takaoda, an old client of Ryo’s and a "major headache" from Saeko’s past, shows up. She's begging for help because some thugs have kidnapped her son, Hiro. In this story, Kaori is 23, living her own life, and doesn't see Ryo as a romantic partner at all—meanwhile, he's totally head over heels for her.Series
