Summary
Saiku sat in her chair, fork already in hand when her mothers entered the kitchen. All three of them sat down at the mahoghany dining table that screamed out for mercy, its surface uneven and scarred. She beamed at her mothers and chatted on and on about how excited she was for the sleepover, who was going to be there, what they were going to eat, what they would do. The sunlight abundant now through the open window paled in comparison to the energy and brilliance Saiku radiated as she finished up her breakfast and as she rushed to finish packing anything else that she might need.

Summary
Rain droplets landed on the window and paraglided to the floor in a rhythmic pitter patter that matched the tempo of her heartbeat. Foliage spread their leaves wide open flowers tilted back as if basking in the downpour. Humans and creatures alike had already since retreated into their shelters once the overcast clouds rolled in and the tell tale scent of evaporating water wafted in. A lone figure stood amidst the blossoming greenery, her height increasing as the rain picked up its pace and winds that could fell a tree slashed through the air. The winds brought with them, a rather pungent smell.
Celestia wrinkled her nose at the air. It smelled like a yeast infection kept clothed for a week then finally unleashed from the linens and exposed to the atmosphere. “Mother.” No response. She ran her hand through the ombre ocean blue to sea green hair and tucked it back behind pointed ears.
I’ll come for you. When that sun disappears, you’re mine.

Summary
“Did you want me?” It didn’t take his father glaring at him again that reminded him he was supposed to keep quiet.
The girl frowned and stepped toward him,”You don’t remember me?” He looked down and scratched at the back of his head. “You came back.” It lingered more like a question, his eyebrows furrowed and left a crease between them.
Her shirt felt warm and soft and good and her arms felt twice as much and melted Lou into them. “Of course I came back, Lou.”
Lou. That’s my name. “Can, can you say that again?” He whispered into the fabric. “Say what?”
“My name, say it again. Please?” She leaned in and long strands of hair tickled his left ear. “I’ll always come back, Lou Royal.”Series
