Things take a very different turn when, instead of orchestrating the plan where he kills an Enforcer, Silco kills Benzo and kidnaps Vander with Marcus's cooperation, deciding instead to pursue a more peaceful meeting.
Powder, scared of losing her family and as blind as the rest of her siblings who venture out to rescue the only father they've ever known, sneaks into the canning factory in an attempt to save her family.
Nothing goes well, and by the end of the day, she ends up captured by a cowardly Enforcer who fully intends to send her to Stillwater. A certain pair of scientists and a few council members are not at all happy about that.

“Did he and Viktor blow up another building?” Vi asked, and Powder snorted.
“No, they get to blow shit up all the time in their lab,” the young omega said. “Not buildings, but yeah. Can’t be that. Did Heimerdinger tell them to quit messing with the gemstones again?”
Mel shook her head. “No. None of that. Well, whether it’s bad depends on how he feels about it, but I’m sure he’d rather tell you all himself.”
