Following Hwang In-ho's refusal to kill Gi-hun for the revolt and not returning to the games, he is usurped by the Masked Officer who puts him into the games permanently with a wound in his leg. The games having decided that they no longer need him, why not let him die like he was originally meant to? In the games.
Gi-hun meanwhile has started his heat, because this would definitely be the greatest time to have it, with your Archnemesis having played some ploy to become your close friend without you knowing, and of course omegas can sense their alpha soulmates and know to be receptive to them.
All of this and Dae-ho simply wants the best for Jun-ho, he has seen him go through too much.

Summary
After watching Squid Game Season 3 and rewatching the whole series, plus having an embarrassing amount of 457 edits popping up (more specifically how breedable Gihun was in season 1 during the dalgona game) on my fyp, I felt the urge to write this fic. I really wanted to let everyone live but because I love the drama and things like that I needed to kill off Player 390. So enjoy an ABO story with breedable Gihun and his possessive alpha, protective pack and maybe, but just maybe ending the korean games! :)

They leave the room, Nam-gyu tries to ignore how bad he wants to get back. When they exchange numbers and part their ways, they hug and Nam-gyu kisses Dae-ho on the cheek. Neither of them talk much, well, neither of them want to walk away. It's not a goodbye, they'll see each other again – Dae-ho still owes him a proper date –, but somehow it feels like one. But Nam-gyu still sees Dae-ho waving at him with a smile on his face, he waves back at him shyly, a smile suggestion on his mouth.
It's dumb, but he can't wait to see the alpha again, he feels some kind of force bringing them together.

They'll have a small but really comfortable house, maybe they change for a bigger one when the first puppy comes.
That's what Dae-ho deserves. Not an addict, not a troubled and stubborn omega like him.
