P03 can see his own astonished face reflected in the shiny dark browns and blacks of natural curiosity; if he zooms in, he can spot the subtle wrinkles in their pigment and sparked freckles in their stare, the simple facts of a human being. P03 studies these simple shapes and dots and lines until they’re no longer simple at all.
