The Big Short was written by Micheal Lewis back in 2010. The movie was produced in 2015. I am now writing exactly what happens in the MOVIE here, onto ao3.
Sadly I am unable to capture Christan Bale's beauty in words, so I guess you'll just have to watch the movie for that.

He's way too busy waiting for the world to end. Jamie might be able to stave off doomsday, though, at least for a few hours.
