Summary
Simon's life is desperate and miserable. The most notable recent event - that was punching a thug outside his house and putting him in a coma - was the worst and most frightening development yet. But, oddly, positive things were starting to happen to him: he had gained fame in the local paper, his neighbours and colleagues thought he was a hero, and a dangerous yet thoroughly attractive man was starting to show an interest in him.
