A butterfly flaps its' wings, and an alternate timeline is brought into existence; one where Ryan Lucan is killed by the rockfall instead of Gabe Chen at the end of Episode 1, and Steph Gingrich encounters an old friend and their girlfriend at a LARPing event in Denver, having believed that she would never get to see her again or have the chance to apologize about ghosting her for years, when they went off-grid and became 'The Wandering Weirdos' after her home-town of Arcadia Bay was wiped out by a tornado back in 2013.
So, how does this all affect the story of True Colors; will Jed Lucan still stick to his false heroic story even at the cost of his own son's life, or finally come clean in the face of Typhon's attempted cover-ups? Especially with the time-travelling duo getting involved now, which means that Alex Chen is no longer the only person in town who holds a secret power to influence the outcome, nor is she and her brother alone in hoping to find a new place to call home... but can Max Caulfield & Chloe Price actually re-adjust to small-town life and settle down together in Haven Springs, when they've been living on the road by themselves for the past five years?
