Danny Fenton stares.
Vlad Masters is happily married to his wife Maddie. A wife who looks rather lovingly at him. The man loves his dairy farm production and on site creamery, he'll share his amazing cheese. There might be the matter of his childhood friend, Jack, he frets about. Which has him and Maddie keeping up from college in making equipment related to ghosts. Definitely something there in Vlad's troubled foster kid past, that he's actually kinda open about. But, overall, this proto-portal accident free Vlad Masters seems to have a good life and is a decent kind of guy. Not a fruitloop.
It's weird. Too weird. Not right. He has to fix it.
But it's a side and version of Vlad Danny doesn't hate. And maybe...likes?

Summary
After being cured of the ecto-acne, Vlad Masters comes to realize what an absolute fool he has been when it comes to the precious friendship he once shared with Maddie and Jack. He elects to abandon all devious evil plots and focus on rekindling his relationships and becoming whole in a way he has not been in years.
Conversely, Danny steadily begins to crumble under the pressure of being a town hero and realizes there are other ways to ruin your future aside from cheating on a test. He learns what it's like to lose and in the process, he begins to also lose himself.
Amidst this internal battle that destroys not only Danny, but his loved ones that are forced to witness the fallout, only one person is truly capable of understanding the pain he feels and able to help him get to the other side of it all.

So much so, he had never told his friends about acquiring the ghostly wail. In Clockwork's effort to protect the timeline, he enlists the ghost of Fear to help him face them.
Thrown into the parallel dimension of Fear Island, Danny faces off against some of his deepest fears -can Sam and Tucker help Dany face them before his biggest fear becomes his biggest weakness?

I don't buy it for a second. Clockwork isn't that decent.
