Eliot's hand hovers near the switch. He has maybe half a second more before they get suspicious. Four, five shapes in the dark—poor odds, not impossible, but he knows the distinct outline of a P90 in any measure of light and knows, just as surely, that he will not risk the four people downstairs.
He flips on the light, closes the door behind him, and engages the lock.
After Eliot's face ends up on several Kenneth Crane fansites, the Trust catches up with him.
